Mobile sports betting revenue in Vermont, US, fell 5.4 per cent year-on-year in February.
The Vermont Lottery, the state’s gambling regulator, put the latest figure at US$2.18m, down from $2.3m in February 2024, which was the first full month of mobile wagering after its launch in mid-January last year.
Month-on-month, sports betting revenue fell 13.6 per cent from the $2.5m posted in January.
Sports betting handle in Vermont reached $21.5m, up 1.3 per cent year-on-year from $21.2m but down 9.8 per cent from $23.87m in January.
The Vermont tax share in February was $693,284, down 5.3 per cent year-on-year and down 14 per cent month-on-month.
Basketball was the most popular month for wagers in Vermont in February, pulling in $7.64m of the total handle in the month.
The Vermont Lottery said bettors registered in the state wagered $13.1m while those travelling into Vermont contributed $8.4m in handle.
