The 2025 Canadian Gaming Summit will be held from June 17 to 19 at the Toronto Convention Centre, where over 3,000 industry leaders and 150 speakers will gather to address the most pressing issues in the Canadian gaming industry.
Key topics on the agenda include the potential return of international liquidity to Ontario, the long-awaited opening of the online gaming market in Alberta, and the role of artificial intelligence in player protection. Regulatory changes, compliance, and political shifts will also be focal points.
Six conference themes will cover leadership, player protection, sports betting and casinos, advertising and affiliates, payments and compliance, and cybersecurity.
A highlight of the summit is the player protection workshop, a key project aimed at addressing AI player support tools, the effectiveness of self-exclusion, and new behavioral approaches to safer gambling.
The sports betting and casino sub-forum will focus on emerging trends such as micro-betting, omnichannel strategies, and the rise of women's sports betting. The conference will also explore the potential comeback of daily fantasy sports.
In addition, marketing, payments, and technological innovations will be in focus. Against the backdrop of increasingly strict advertising regulations in Ontario, affiliates and operators are shifting towards content-led brand strategies and customer loyalty programs. The conference will also focus on advancements in digital wallets, blockchain applications, and cybersecurity.
