New CTO's Background and Experience
João Soares, from Portugal, has accumulated extensive technical management experience in the iGaming industry. He previously served as Engineering Director at White Hat Gaming, managing a team of over 120 people and leading the transformation of the company's engineering functions. Before that, Soares worked for more than five years at BetVictor as a Senior Engineer, leading the release of eight native mobile applications for iOS and Android. He also held the position of Development Manager at William Hill, contributing to multiple product and platform projects.
Cross-Industry Technical Leadership Experience
Beyond the iGaming sector, Soares has held senior leadership positions in other technology industries. He was the Engineering Director at Vision-Box and served as Engineering Director at Easyship, focusing on digital transformation, quality assurance system implementation, and leadership training.
