The Immigration Bureau issued a notice on Monday stating that over 10,000 foreign gaming employees have submitted their visa applications before October 15th, which seems to be a rather low number.
POGO employees actively downgrade their contracts during the hot trend, violators will be blacklisted on October 15th.
The Ministry of Justice called on September 6 for foreign employees of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) to voluntarily downgrade their visas, otherwise the visas will be forcibly cancelled. He warned that foreigners whose visas are forcibly cancelled will be blacklisted.
