Sri Lanka plans to establish a gambling regulatory authority to promote the legalization process of sports betting.

The Sri Lankan government has recently officially approved the draft of the "Gambling Sports Standardization Act" to be published in the government gazette, paving the way for its submission to parliament for deliberation, marking a key step in the country's establishment of a comprehensive gambling
