On July 8, 2024, Brazilian gaming company Blaze requested authorization from Loterj to operate in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Currently, only five operators have licenses in Rio.

The request was made within the deadline set by Loterj, whose notifications will remain open until August 14. This certification is required to verify legal requirements and approve Blaze's gaming platform.

In Rio de Janeiro, the license fee for operators is R$5 million. This amount is much lower than the 30 million reais collected by the Ministry of Finance, with authorization expected in January 2025.

Loterj's regulated operations not only boost the state's gaming market but also benefit public coffers. For every R$1 in taxes collected by Loterj, the federal government collects approximately R$8.
