SBC has announced the five startups that have made it to the finals of the SBC First Pitch competition, which will be part of the SBC Summit this September.
The competition, sponsored by Soft2bet (headline sponsor) and White Swan Data (senior sponsor), is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, and will be part of the "Global Leadership" track at the Lisbon International Fair.
The finalists will present their products and services in a 3-minute pitch in front of a jury composed of industry leaders and investment experts, followed by a Q&A session.
The five finalists are as follows:
Match Hype: Match Hype expands the creation of sports video content by transforming raw data into engaging and informative videos. The content covers all matches and betting tips, available in over 30 languages.
Random State: Innovative immersive iLottery and bingo games that combine the excitement of hyper-casual gaming with the unpredictable rewards of a lottery experience.
SavageTech: This B2B SaaS company has created the world's first true gamified retention engine for the gambling industry, where users earn avatars and battle monsters with each bet or casino activity.
StatX Sports: Provides crucial odds and data products for sports leagues, teams, betting operators, and media companies, supporting key decisions across the sports industry.
XGENIA: The company is developing modular, multifunctional AI solutions covering all components of online casinos (including risk management) and delivered efficiently through a fast and convenient API.
To select the winner, SBC has assembled a distinguished jury, each member with extensive expertise in sports betting, gambling, and venture capital. The jury includes Adam Krejcik (head of Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, LLC), Javier Altamirano (head of startups at Sportradar), Mark Blandford (partner at Burlywood Capital), Martin Collins (Chief Business Development Officer at Soft2Bet), and Paris Smith (founder of Life Winning). Jesse Learmonth, host of the Betting Startups podcast, will host the event again.
Before the competition, Sue Schneider, SBC's Vice President of Development and Strategy for the Americas, said: "Since we launched the First Pitch competition, the industry response has been very positive, and the increasing number of applications is clear evidence. This year, our applicants come from 18 countries! With the addition of the dedicated StartUpSphere, the SBC Summit truly showcases the immense potential of startups.
"This year's competition is undoubtedly the most competitive yet, with the five finalists offering innovative solutions that fill some gaps in the industry. I sincerely thank all the sponsors who contributed to the prize fund and the jury that helped us select this year's winner."
