The agreement was reached with the Singapore betting company, which holds the international simulcast rights for the Selangor and Perak Turf Clubs, providing SIS with 738 additional events per year from Selangor and Perak. Premier races include the Selangor Gold Cup and the Perak Coronation Cup, which are important additions to the provider's output.
The top events launched in this highly regarded region bring more betting opportunities to audiences around the world, with SIS providing data, real-time images, and pricing as part of an end-to-end solution.
All 738 races allow bettors to place fixed odds bets, which will greatly enhance participation. SIS's trading team will price the content at fixed odds based on local Tote odds, a consistent process used by SIS traders in Asia and other countries/regions in America to generate robust fixed odds pricing.
The introduction of fixed odds betting will maximize participation and bring a sense of familiarity to bettors who wish to engage in Malaysian horse racing, a form of betting that is already popular in many jurisdictions.
The agreement with the Singapore betting company is the latest agreement reached by SIS to expand its inventory of over 36,000 horse races annually. The provider's inventory was recently expanded to include premium events from Korea and Poland and renewed rights to showcase top Spanish horse racing.
