The leading software provider in the iGaming industry, SOFTSWISS, has announced the launch of its private bug bounty program to enhance cybersecurity. The program invites white hat hackers and independent security researchers to identify vulnerabilities, offering rewards for their discoveries and ensuring the highest level of security for SOFTSWISS clients.
To ensure that only significant cases that meet specific criteria are reported, SOFTSWISS has introduced an invitation-only private program. This invitation-only scheme encourages white hat hackers to pay close attention to its terms and requirements, resulting in higher quality reports. While public programs can offer a broader perspective, they often generate more irrelevant reports, but a private release ensures the focus remains on critical security issues.
The bug bounty program offers financial rewards up to 3,500 euros, depending on the severity and complexity of the discovered vulnerabilities. The program serves as an additional layer of defense, provided by experienced security experts offering external, impartial assessments.
"We care about the security of our clients and their players, and therefore, we not only focus on protecting the products we develop but also continuously re-evaluate our applications with the help of skilled external experts and enthusiasts. By collaborating with the expert community, we can ensure reliable data protection for all clients and ensure uninterrupted operations," said Evgeny Zaretskov, Chief Information Security Officer at SOFTSWISS Group. "SOFTSWISS is proud to set new standards in cybersecurity by leveraging crowdsourced expertise. In this ever-changing environment, even a small vulnerability can cause significant losses to operators. The bug bounty program is an additional measure to protect our existing and future clients."
The program has been launched with two products: the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform and SOFTSWISS Sports Betting. It is conducted in a dedicated testing environment, independent of the live casino systems, ensuring no impact on player experience or platform performance.
"Cybersecurity is an ongoing battle," added Deputy Chief Security Officer Artyom Buchkov. "No company can identify all vulnerabilities alone. This program enables talented hackers to legally infiltrate online casinos, helping us anticipate and defend against potential threats. It strengthens our commitment to providing the safest software and platforms in the iGaming industry."
Looking ahead, the SOFTSWISS cybersecurity team plans to expand the framework, add more products, and refine requirements to maintain the highest security standards across all platforms.
You can discuss cybersecurity in iGaming and other key topics in the industry with SOFTSWISS experts and product teams at booth B-160 at the SBC Summit in Lisbon from September 24 to 26.
