Press release.- Play’n GO has announced the official launch in the United States of its successful title "Colt Lightning Firestorm", following a three-week exclusivity period with the brands of Rush Street Interactive, BetRivers, and SugarHouse.
"Colt Lightning Firestorm" was launched in Europe and other jurisdictions in May 2024, and its release in the United States comes with much fanfare after the game's excellent reviews during its short exclusivity period. The game is a sequel to the very popular "Colt Lightning" which was released early last year, and indications at this stage suggest that this sequel may be even more successful.

This announcement makes "Colt Lightning Firestorm" available to players in every state and operator with which Play’n GO is licensed. Play’n GO first entered the online casino market in the United States in 2022 and has reiterated its commitment to being active in all regulated markets worldwide.

Spain.- Following the success of its first stage at Casino Barcelona, the Catalunya Poker Tour (CPT) will arrive at Casino Peralada, in Girona, for its second stop. The competition will take place from September 27 to 29 and will feature two tournaments, the Main Event and the Mini CPT.
Four years after its last edition, the tournament started at Casino Barcelona from July 1 to 7, where 1,767 entries were registered. The schedule consisted of 15 events and live satellites. In this stage, player Sergi Serra led the overall ranking.
In the second stage of the tournament at Casino Peralada, the main event will have a variable buy-in depending on the day, from EUR125 (days 1A and 1B) and EUR 250 (days 1C and 1D). Day 1A of the Main Event will be played at Casino Barcelona on September 26. The Main Event is the main tournament of the competition, and the results obtained in the main events of the three stages of the CPT will determine the new poker champion of Catalonia. Meanwhile, the Mini CPT will have a buy-in of EUR 125 and will be played in a single day.

Players will also be able to participate in an online tournament. The competition offers the possibility to qualify for the Main Event from EUR 0 through its online satellites. Once the stage in Girona is completed, the Catalunya Poker Tour by CasinoBarcelona.es will move to Casino Tarragona, where the last stop will be held from November 11 to 17.

In April, the second stage of the 12th season of the National Poker Circuit returned to the city of Barcelona eleven years after its first visit. Additionally, the Spanish Poker Championship (CEP) by PokerStars returned to the city of Barcelona in August after its inaugural stage in February.
The General Directorate for Gambling Regulation (DGOJ) released the figures for online gambling in Spain during the second quarter of the year. The Gross Gaming Revenue for the quarter was EUR346.34m, representing a decrease of -1.24 percent compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 10.79 percent compared to the same quarter of 2023.
Regarding the other main magnitudes analyzed in the report, deposits and withdrawals by players, their rates of change compared to the previous year increased by 17.87 percent and 17.76 percent respectively. Compared to the previous quarter, deposits decreased by -0.30 percent and withdrawals increased by 0.97 percent.
