IPLyC Misiones Training: the responsible gaming program reached Santo Pipó

Representatives of the Provincial Lottery Institute's program gave talks on addiction prevention in schools.

Argentina.- Representatives of the Responsible Gaming program of the Provincial Lottery and Casino Institute (IPLyC Misiones) gave talks on addiction prevention for students from schools in the town of Santo Pipó, Misiones. Sixth and seventh graders from School 140 José Manuel Estrada and students from Commerce School 7 participated in the talks.

During the meetings, various topics were discussed, such as the use of electronic devices and the health consequences of abusive use, focusing on time usage limits. Protective factors to prevent addiction were also addressed, as well as the importance of managing emotions. According to reports from IPLyC Misiones, the meetings were "very enriching" because "there were exchanges and contributions on the topic discussed."

The program representatives also visited Epet 19, in Santa Ana, where they spoke to more than a hundred students from first, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth year. Additionally, they gave a talk at Commerce School 10 to 70 second-year students. The meeting invited reflection on the reality of electronic devices, the world of virtuality, social networks, and illegal online gaming.

Furthermore, IPLyC Misiones coordinated a new operation of the Mirar Mejor program from the Government, which provided comprehensive ophthalmological care at the former Provincial Oriented Baccalaureate (BOP) 6 in Panambí. From early on, dozens of residents gathered to access personalized eye control services and subsequent delivery of glasses, as needed.

The president of IPLyC, Héctor Rojas Decut, spoke about the program and stated that "with Mirar Mejor we bring essential services that guarantee rights and improve the quality of life so that everyone can have a fuller life." The Mirar Mejor program travels to municipalities providing ophthalmology services, with the participation of the Ophthalmological Society of Misiones (SOMI).

The president of the Provincial Lottery and Casino Institute (IPLyC Misiones), Héctor Rojas Decut, presented before the Budget Committee in the Chamber of Deputies of Misiones, to report on the projections of the agency regarding revenue and profits for the next year.

During his presentation, Rojas Decut stated that gambling is expected to raise about AR$40,000m (USD41m) in 2025, of which AR$3.179m (USD3.3m) will be transferred to the province, including profit advances to ministries and agencies. This figure represents an increase of 126 percent compared to the previous financial year.
