Global Gaming Women (GGW) announced that they will host the 14th annual "Kick Up Your Heels" fundraising event to support the GGW Charitable Education Fund on October 9, Wednesday, from 5 PM to 7 PM at XS Nightclub in Wynn Las Vegas, celebrating the recipient of the Patty Becker Pay It Forward Award. Tickets are priced at $200 per attendee, increasing to $300 on September 28, available for purchase here.
GGW also announced the return of Sip & Social to the stage, with special guest speakers including Brittany Driscoll, co-founder and CEO of Squeeze, and Hayley Paige, Creative Director and Chief Inspiration Officer at SHE IS CHEVAL.
Attendees can enjoy breakfast and networking from 8 AM to 10 AM on Thursday, October 10, at the Venetian Banquet Hall on the second floor of the Venetian Convention Center. Ticket prices are $52 per attendee, rising to $60 during the event week. Registration is required, available here. This event will also collaborate with Global Gaming Women to honor the "Top 10 Women in Gaming" awardees selected by CDC Gaming Reports.
Existing and potential GGW members, partners, and allies are invited to the G2E GGW Retreat, a dedicated space for networking, podcasts, headshots, and giveaways, on October 8, Tuesday, and October 9, Wednesday, from 9 AM to 3 PM, located on the fourth floor of the Venetian Convention Center (Lando 4201AB-4203).
On Sunday, October 6, prior to the G2E opening, GGW will co-host the official award ceremony for the "Top 10 Upcoming Women in Gaming" with CDC Gaming Reports at El Cortez Hotel & Casino. All awardees will be recognized during this inaugural celebration event.
The GGW leadership will continue its work as a non-profit organization in the industry, dedicated to supporting and impacting the development of professional women, and will participate in a series of educational panels during G2E, including three unique panels. The GGW conference will collaborate with G2E to host various discussions aimed at promoting diversity and leadership in the gaming industry.
An important meeting will take place on Monday, October 7, from 10:10 PM to 11:00 PM at Titian 2205, themed "Achieving Workforce Diversity in Large Merger Markets." The discussion will be chaired by Lorrie Bamford, General Counsel of ECL Entertainment, LLC, with panel members including Ashley McCulloch, Director of Client Management at Inspired Gaming Group, Lauren Westerfield, Vice President of Interactive at The Queen Casino & Entertainment, and Melanie Gross, Senior Vice President and Product Director at Golden Hearts Games.
Later that day, from 11:20 AM to 12:10 PM, the session "From Creativity to Impact: Women Entrepreneurs and Investors Pioneering Innovation" will also take place at Titian 2205. Sheila Bangalore, board member of Games Global and StoneAge Waterblast Tools and venture partner at SpringTide Ventures, will chair the panel discussion, with panel members including Anna Massion, non-executive director at Gaming Realms and Playtech, Anna Sainsbury, co-founder and CEO of GeoComply, and Kensie Shaw, Managing Director at Global Credit Advisers, LLC.
On Wednesday, October 9, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the session "Breaking the Glass Ceiling Cannot Be Done Alone: Celebrating Our Male Allies" will take place on the main stage at Venetian Banquet Hall F. The discussion will be chaired by Melissa Aarskaug, Vice President of Gaming at Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), and will feature Dominic Ortiz, CEO of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, Matt Wilson, CEO of Light & Wonder, and Hector Fernandez, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming.
Additionally, the "GGW: Fair Play Podcast at G2E" will be held on Wednesday, October 9, from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at The Lab booth #5824. The podcast will be hosted by Lauren O'Brien, Global Gaming Director at Aristocrat Gaming, Kate White, board member and board secretary at Global Gaming Women, Anika Howard, CEO of Wondr Nation, and Bronwen Gregg, Director of Sales Support at Insight Global. This event will further discuss key issues and trends impacting the gaming industry.
