The audit corresponds to the Recertification of the ISO 9001:2015 Standards and the ALEA-IRAM Normative Reference No. 19.
Argentina.- The Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos of Mendoza Province (IPJyC Mendoza), received last week the External Auditor from the Certified IRAM Laboratory and managed to verify the effectiveness of its “Integrated Quality Management System”.
From September 24 to 27, the audit team was present at the Institute's facilities, in order to audit all the processes involved, covered by the ISO 9001:2015 and the Normative Reference 19 ALEA IRAM.
The general manager of IPJyC Mendoza, Adrian Acevedo, along with the institute's director, Josefina Canale, welcomed the team of IRAM professionals consisting of Cintia Ruiz (lead auditor) and Facundo Quiroga (audit team member).
According to the entity, this process had a special characteristic since, in order to unify the expiration of the certificates of both standards and advance in an Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS), IPJyC and IRAM agreed to recertify both norms, “raising the bar even higher for this audit”.
They also explained that certifying both standards and achieving an IQMS implies that all processes of the IPJyC are reached and, therefore, involves absolutely all the managements and departments.
Regarding the ISO 9001:2015 Standard, IPJyC not only maintained the scope of the processes (five in total: SAPIA, SCGR, Anti-Money Laundering, Responsible Gaming, and Information Ecosystem), but also added one more related to the General Treasury (Packing of bills), reaching a total of six.
As for the Normative Reference 19, a marked progress in all processes was observed, highlighting Online Gaming, Information Security, Responsible Gaming, Lottery, and Management Review.
Once the audit was completed, the lead auditor, Cintia Ruiz, held the closing meeting to present the results. The report revealed that no deviations (Observations and Non-Conformities) were found, nor were there Opportunities for Improvement. From IPJyC, it was highlighted that it is the first time in eight years of the Quality System that no findings have been received.

Ruíz highlighted the consolidation of the growth of the IQMS and marked three strengths: the commitment and involvement of the Senior Management; the commitment of the Quality Team and the various processes; and the Quality developments (e.g., Quality Web Dashboard).
