During the Senate hearing on October 8, 2024, Senator Risa Hontiveros asked Yang Jianxin if he knew whether any of the three brothers served as the honorary president of the "Filipino-Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce." Yang Jianxin responded, "I am not, and I am not aware if my brother Yang Hongjiang is the honorary president."
Subsequently, the senator further inquired whether Yang Jianxin was involved in Chinese associations in the Philippines or other countries, to which Yang Jianxin replied, "I am a member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Cagayan de Oro."
At the hearing, Yang Jianxin denied having any connection with She Zhijiang or his alias She Lun Kai.
Yang Hongming and Yang Jianxin's legal advisor, Raymond Fortun, responded that there is no need to comment on unverified information.
She Zhijiang claimed in a documentary that he had crucial information about one of the Yang brothers, possibly proving that one of them is a 'mole'. The three are also alleged to be involved in illegal gambling activities.
