Konami Digital Entertainment and FIFA have announced a collaboration to continue their global commitment to advancing eSports. As part of this initiative, two FIFAe™ World Cups with eFootball™ are scheduled to take place this year on mobile devices and consoles. Brazil is one of the associations participating in the inaugural event.
The goal of this collaboration is to further enhance the joy of the global football community through eSports. By allowing players to represent their nations through dedicated competitions, this initiative will take community engagement to a new level.
The FIFAe™ World Cup started its qualification globally this Thursday (10). To engage the entire community, two competitions will be held — one on consoles and one on mobile devices — each crowning a FIFAe world champion. More information is available at FIFA.GG and on Konami's website.
In the inaugural year of this collaboration, 18 nations were invited to be represented at the final events. The nations are selected based on various factors, such as player base and past performances of competitors from the respective countries. Everyone playing eFootball™ is welcome to participate, just update to the latest version of the game and challenge the world to an exciting global match.
