SBC Summit Latin America: Exploring Traditional Verticals

As digital platforms increasingly dominate industry debates, it is important not to overlook the major transformations occurring in traditional sectors such as lotteries and brick-and-mortar casinos.

The upcoming edition of SBC Summit Latin America presents a unique opportunity for 4,000 delegates to explore these transformations, understand changing player behaviors, and gain insights that can help them modernize their offerings through the specialized session Lotteries, Casino and Online Gaming.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, October 31, the last day of the leading gaming and betting event in Latin America, which will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami.

Attendees can expect a series of debates, including key findings from the recent Copa America, and its potential to enhance customer engagement, strategies for lottery operators to attract younger audiences, an exploration of the rapidly growing Brazilian lottery market, and much more.

In this regard, Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC, said: "Lotteries and brick-and-mortar casinos have long been the backbone of our industry. While it is natural that much of the focus is now on new digital products and services, we must not overlook the huge potential for innovation in these well-established sectors."

The session will open with the session titled Converging Worlds of Online Gaming, Sports Betting, and Physical Casinos, which will examine the influence of online platforms on the gaming market in Latin America.

With the participation of experts Jhon Mario Giraldo (President of the Board of Directors of CORNAZAR), Fernando Ortega (Executive Director of Lottofy), Arturo Chaltelt (Manager of Business Development for Latin America, EveryMatrix), Juan José Mantese (Director for Latin America, MeridianBet) and moderated by Natalia Torres (Senior Commercial Manager of Evolution Gaming), the panel will analyze the performance of casino operators, sports betting, and multi-brand as more countries regulate online gaming along with sports betting.

The debate will also address how brands can secure market share and whether the industry will witness ongoing merger and acquisition activity in this evolving landscape.

Additionally, the panel will cover the impact of the tournament on player and team performance betting, and how these insights can be applied to enhance player engagement.

Next, the panel titled Digitalization of Lotteries: Modern Focuses to Maintain Competitiveness will offer delegates optimal strategies to modernize lotteries. During this panel, industry experts will explore how Latin American lotteries can leverage cutting-edge technologies, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence to transform their operations and enhance player experiences.

The debates will cover the latest trends and innovations shaping the lottery sector, the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing security and analysis, the transition of lotteries to digital platforms, and the use of data-driven strategies to attract and retain players.

To conclude the session, the panel titled Lottery Keys: Analyzing the Brazilian Lottery Markets will explore the local market. Expert speakers Wesley Cardia (Former President of the National Association of Lottery Games — ANJL —), Ana Clara Barros (Director of Legal Affairs at Sorte Online), Adriana Ferreira Tavares (Senior Associate at TozziniFreire Advogados), Filipe Rodrigues (Founder of the Sports Management Institute — IGE —) and moderator Thiago Balieiro (Vice President of Compliance and People at Sorte Online) will discuss the emergence of new state and municipal lotteries in Brazil and examine the market challenges.
