Recently, a robbery in Yodogawa Ward, Osaka, Japan, has attracted widespread attention. A Chinese man in his 30s met a Chinese woman through WeChat, only to fall into a well-planned "trap" during their meeting, resulting in heavy losses.
The victim, a Chinese man in his 30s, met a 29-year-old Chinese woman through the Chinese social media platform WeChat. The woman claimed she needed to exchange 500,000 yuan (about 11 million yen) into Japanese yen and asked the man for help.
Believing her story, the man brought 12 million yen in cash to the agreed location—a park in Yodogawa Ward, Osaka.
While the man was talking with the woman in the park, they were suddenly attacked by two men dressed in black, one of whom used a stun gun to incapacitate him.
At the same time, the woman also suddenly struck the man's neck. In the chaos, the man's backpack was stolen, with 3 million yen falling out and the remaining 9 million yen taken away in the backpack by the two men. The woman also quickly fled the scene.
However, in the confusion, the victim did not give up the chase and eventually managed to catch the woman and call the police. The police are currently investigating the woman and are making every effort to capture the two men who fled.
