The iconic Extraction Room of the main building of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML) was the setting for an emotional celebration of the 241 years of the National Lottery. Employees, clients, and guests gathered to witness this event full of symbolism and tradition.
David Lopes, administrator of Santa Casa, highlighted the historical and sentimental importance of the National Lottery, which since 1783 has been a pillar in the realization of dreams and support for the most needy in Portugal. "The National Lottery was born to help those who need it most, to support science in Portugal, and to fulfill dreams. It is in the hearts of the Portuguese and will continue to fulfill many dreams in the future," said Lopes.

The ceremony included an emotional performance of fado by singer Ricardo Rodrigues, accompanied by Pedro Viana on the Portuguese guitar and Vasco Sousa on the bass. The attendees enjoyed classics such as “Lisboa, Menina e Moça”, “O Homem do Saldanha” and “Rosinha dos Limões”.
In this 47th draw of 2024 of the Classic Lottery, the winning numbers were: 50 576 for the first prize of 1,200,000 euros, 66 601 for the second prize of 120,000 euros, and 65 782 for the third prize of 60,000 euros.
