Esmeralda Britton González is the President of the Board of Directors of the Social Protection Board (JPS) of Costa Rica, which manages the Government Lottery. Her distinguished political career includes positions such as Minister of Women, Executive President of the National Institute of Women (INAMU), and Secretary of Promotion of Women's Political Participation in the Social Christian Unity Party (PUSC). At JPS, she has modernized land-based games and introduced online lottery sales. Recognized by ICE LONDON 2021, she also leads the WILL (Women In Lottery Leadership) program for Latin America, named by the WLA.
Teresita Benitez, coordinator of the Technology Commission of Cibelae
Coordinator of the Technology Commission of CIBELAE since 2018, representing the Association of State Lotteries of Argentina (ALEA). Head of the Computer Department of the Social Assistance Institute of the Government of the Province of Formosa since 1996. She is an Information Systems Engineer with a specialization in Quality Engineering from the National Technological University, Argentina. She has a distinguished career in the public sector, focusing on the regulation and operation of gambling, and provides consulting services in the private sector. In academia, she teaches at the National Technological University (FRR) and the National University of Formosa, specializing in information and communication technologies.
Carlos Sanz, president of James Industries Mexico
Carlos Sanz, with a degree in Physics and Computer Science from Madrid, has developed a distinguished professional career. From 1978 to 1982, he was Director of R&D at Recreativos Franco (Spain). Since 1983, he has been Owner, President, and General Manager of several companies under James Industries Mexico, specializing in coin-op and games. Carlos has played key roles in sector organizations, such as Canieti and NYCE, contributing significantly to standardization and certification in electronics and computer science. He served as CIO at Codere Mexico from 2006 to 2018, overseeing gaming systems. He currently offers consulting services in the gaming industry, focusing on land-based and iGaming activities. His experience and leadership have had a lasting impact on the sector.
Alexandre Tauszig, commercial director of NGX
Alexandre Tauszig holds a degree in Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Industrial Administration from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. With a career spanning over two decades focused on IT and B2B business-centered project development, he has also mentored small startups in Brazil. For the past seven years, Alexandre has been involved in the iGaming and lottery industry, serving as Regional Manager for LATAM at Skilrock and currently as Commercial Director at NGX. He actively participates in sector events in LATAM, such as CIBELAE, and is the author of the e-book "Alea Jact Est," which explores the lottery and gaming market in Brazil.
Carlos Alberto Contreras Pardo, Project Coordinator – LatAm at Skilrock Technologies
Carlos Contreras, Project Coordinator at Skilrock Technologies, manages the implementation of complex IT projects for lottery and gambling operators in the Latin America region. He is an Engineer with extensive knowledge in the domains of telecommunications and gambling. His experience spans agile and hybrid project management methodologies, carrying out high-complexity projects with a strong focus on agile and hybrid methodologies. He is endowed with technical skills in IP Telephony, LAN/WAN design, CISCO and Huawei technologies.
Moderator: Rodrigo Cigliuttui, executive director of Cibelae
Rodrigo Cigliutti is the Executive Director of the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting – CIBELAE. His career spans about 30 years in the lottery business. Some of his most notable works were the coordination of the Game Map of Argentina from 2009 to 2017; and the realization of the Technician in Gambling. This is the first university career in Latin America for the gambling sector, regulators, and companies. He has participated as a panelist and moderator in different editions of industry events such as World Lottery Summit (WLS), CIBELAE, ALEA, ICE London, GLI Regulatory Board, Juegos Miami, Ibero-American Gaming Summit, among others.
