A 21-year-old woman from Taiwan was recently rescued and returned to Taiwan after being kidnapped to Myanmar to work as a "piglet," but her father revealed that she is still traumatized and occasionally becomes mentally disoriented, needing more time to recover.

The woman, surnamed Wang from Kaohsiung, confirmed that she safely returned to Taiwan on the 2nd of this month.

Her father, during a media interview on Monday (9th), said that he was unclear about the specifics of the rescue operation, only knowing that it was very urgent. Initially, the plan was to rescue three to four people, but some could not be found. Fortunately, his daughter was lucky enough to be rescued without a ransom demand.

The father also lamented, "If it weren't for external help, she really couldn't have come back."

Daughter says: It was terrifying there

The father also shared that after returning, his daughter talked about the conditions inside the Myanmar compound, describing it as terrifying and living in constant mental strain.

Due to fear of being beaten, she had no choice but to comply and participate in scamming others.

The daughter also mentioned that a singer known as "Xiao Weng Li You," real name Chen Kangyue, was detained and severely beaten in the compound.

The father mentioned that his daughter was severely traumatized in Myanmar and often panics since returning. He is concerned that she might have been drugged or beaten, so he plans to take her to the hospital for a check-up, and she is currently continuing her recovery.

Uncertain about the whereabouts of a male close friend

According to earlier reports, the woman was invited by a male close friend to travel to Thailand on the 6th of last month, after which she went missing. Her family later received a ransom call, learning that she had been taken to a compound in Myanmar.

When asked if he knew the whereabouts of this male close friend, the father said that his daughter mentioned that they were separated upon arrival at the compound and had no chance to talk, so she was also unclear about the friend's whereabouts.

The father also said that his daughter was deceived by the male close friend, thinking it was a free trip to Thailand, and that they would return the same day, which is why she went to Thailand without any luggage.
