Fraud groups offer tempting salaries up to 30,000 MYR (about 50,000 RMB), deceiving 30 Malaysians to work in Cambodia.
These 30 Malaysians, aged between 20 and 40, are believed to be deceived by a group led by Taiwanese, expected to fly to Cambodia on the 15th via Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The head of the Anti-Fraud Action Team, Huang Jianwei (transliteration), held a press conference pointing out that they have grasped the intelligence of the fraud group, including the list of victims planning to work in Cambodia.
It is understood that the group uses locals as bait to attract and offer job opportunities to victims aged between 20 and 40. The criminal group offers high salaries up to 30,000 MYR, tempting the victims who may face abuse and deception once they arrive in the related country.
Therefore, he and the members of the Anti-Fraud Action Team filed a report at the Penang International Airport Police Station (LTAPP), requesting the authorities to take immediate action to stop the activities of the fraud group.
