Last year, the Patagonian lottery transferred more than AR$6,334,000,000 (USD6.1m) to the province.
Argentina.- From the Río Negro Lottery, it was reported that in 2024 the entity transferred more than AR$6,334,000,000 (USD6.1m) to the province, closing the year with a historic transfer figure in December.
Of that total and once the corresponding prizes were paid, the remaining funds are distributed in the province according to the law K48, benefiting all the inhabitants of the Patagonian province.
During 2024, AR$4,243,322,763 (USD4.1m) were transferred to Health and Education, which were very beneficial for the system to face the health situation of recent years. More than AR$570,083,000 (USD552,178) were delivered to Firefighters, AR$385,756,000 (USD373,641) to Human Development and Social Emergency, and a little more than AR$270,000,000 (USD261,520) to Culture and Sports, among other agencies.
Although transfers were made every month, December was the record month, with a total of AR$1,809,262,970 (USD1.7m). Thus, the total returned to the people of Río Negro tripled the value reached in 2023.
“The mission of the Río Negro Lottery is to ensure that all the money collected in Quiniela and other games from its product portfolio returns to the province and that the transfers are made transparently with a single goal: the growth and development of the province,” the entity stated.

In December, the Río Negro Lottery launched a campaign against illegal betting together with the club Sol de Mayo. Featuring the player, Nicolás Mazzola, the spot aims to raise awareness about the risks of illegal gambling.
