As the local sports betting market is predicted to hit $1.24bn this year alone, and an annual growth rate of 8.45% by 2029, Mexico is one of the hottest growth markets after Brazil, while Latin America’s wider regulated gambling market is set to quadruple in size to US$6.75bn by 2027. The latest election, slot ban court case and growing GGR have put it front and center.
During this WRB headline session, audiences will first hear from former President of Mexico Vicente Fox as he discusses his businesses-centered approach to development and the opportunities available in the region before being joined by a Brazilian operator to address:
- Navigating the reputational and financial risks of fragmented regulatory systems in Latin America.
- Balancing the benefits of tourism and economic growth with sustainability and social protection.
- Exploring the political risks and rewards of investment in the region’s rapidly expanding gambling markets.
