32-year-old South Korean weather anchor Kim Na-jung, who debuted as a model, is beloved by fans for her beautiful appearance and good figure. However, she recently fell into a drug controversy during her trip to Manila, Philippines.

On January 18, Kim Na-jung's lawyer publicly stated that she was forced into the situation under duress and detailed the course of the event. However, due to insufficient evidence, the Philippine police have transferred the case to the prosecutor's office without detention.

According to the police report, Kim Na-jung claimed that she was forced to take drugs in the Philippines and submitted relevant evidence to the police. Despite this, the Philippine police stated that the submitted materials did not clearly prove her coercion allegations. On the 24th, the police announced that she was transferred to the prosecution on suspicion of violating the drug control law.

Kim Na-jung's lawyer questioned the police investigation, pointing out procedural flaws. He noted, "It is difficult for victims to record audio or video under coercion. However, the police did not conduct an in-depth investigation of the suspects or related persons."

Kim Na-jung's lawyer further explained that the incident originated from her meeting a young entrepreneur, Mr. A, in the Philippines due to work. At a party, Kim Na-jung lost consciousness due to intoxication, and then Mr. A tied her hands and feet and blindfolded her. Mr. A forced her to inhale an unknown gas using a canned object and recorded the scene using Kim Na-jung's phone, which was backed up to his own device via cloud storage. The lawyer pointed out that this video could prove that Kim Na-jung was completely unable to resist at that time.

The lawyer also revealed that Mr. A had threatened Kim Na-jung with a gun, intimidating her not to disclose his identity, and even threatened, "I can easily kill someone." Due to safety concerns, Kim Na-jung was unable to hand over all the evidence to the police.

As early as January 12, Kim Na-jung had posted on social media seeking help from the Korean embassy, stating that she faced life threats and was forced to take drugs in the Philippines. After returning to Korea, she underwent a two-hour investigation and drug test at the airport, which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Kim Na-jung's lawyer emphasized that she did not take drugs voluntarily, but was forced to inhale prohibited substances due to this incident, and pointed out that Kim Na-jung had only traveled to the Philippines three times before and had never actively contacted drugs. "In a country like the Philippines where drug control is strict, she has no reason to intentionally contact drugs."

Kim Na-jung's lawyer reiterated that she is a victim of this incident, not the "frequent drug user" rumored by the outside world. The lawyer also stated that the team will argue with the prosecutor based on facts and called on the public to stop spreading speculative remarks and provide Kim Na-jung with the support and understanding she deserves.

As the case is transferred to the prosecutor, whether Kim Na-jung can prove her innocence remains to be seen. However, this incident has attracted widespread attention in both Korean and Philippine societies, and the truth behind it continues to be a focus of ongoing discussion.
