Strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two companies, Scientific Games has now been named the official supplier of the Washington Lottery scratch card game.
The latest announcement marks the continuation of a partnership that has spanned the past 40 years – Scientific Games has been the lottery’s official scratch card game provider since the organization’s inception. The new deal will now last six years, with the option to extend for a further four years.
In 2014, the Washington Lottery also announced that Scientific Games would become its primary instant lottery partner. Since entering into this agreement, the Washington Lottery has reported a 60% increase in its gross gaming revenue (GGR).
Commenting on the new deal, Washington Lottery Instant Product Manager Gaylene Gray said: "Our partnership with Scientific Games has made a significant impact. We are able to provide players with a fun scratch card gaming experience , while responsibly raising more funds for public good projects that benefit our communities.
We look forward to continuing our close partnership with Scientific Games to power the next phase of innovation and growth for our products. "
For Scientific Games, its commercial interest in global lottery organizations continues to grow as it partners with the Kansas Lottery and last month further expanded its partnership with the New York Lottery. Outside the U.S., the company also announced partnerships with lotteries in Slovenia and Poland in April.
