IGT and Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) have partnered with the Malta National Lottery to provide its Historic Horse Racing (HHR) technology.
The deal will see IGT and CDI expand their HHR technology into Malta through the lottery, making the National Lottery the first gaming operator outside the United States to offer HHR services.
Initially, IGT will hold 100% of the HHR venue share at IZIBingo, the National Lottery’s first HHR venue, while CDI subsidiary Exacta Services will support the gaming venue through its Exacta Connect system solution.
The pair will also provide electricity to a number of other National Lottery gaming venues within Malta.
HHR Products will feature more than 80 IGT HHR games on IGT cabinets, including PeakSlant49, PeakSlant32 and Cobalt27, as well as HHR Edition games and IGT Classic games.

In separate news reports, IGT has been awarded a contract from the Ohio Lottery Commission to provide Intelligen central monitoring systems for video lottery terminals (VLTs).
