Brazil has recently organized its online betting market. After a long period without any regulation, the country quickly entered the TOP 5 of the most relevant markets in the world.
This huge change opens up possibilities for action on various fronts and it is necessary to have training to know and be relevant in this sector that moved 1% of the country's GDP in 2023.
For this reason, Future Law has just launched a course aimed at the iGaming sector. "Gambling Law: online betting market and legal regulation in Brazil" will not only provide an overview of the regulation but will show everything from how to obtain the authorization to operate to guidelines for responsible gaming, advertising regulation, and prospects in the area.
Divided into six lessons, starting on the next November 4th, the course is coordinated by lawyer Udo Seckelmann, head of the gambling and crypto department at Bichara e Motta Lawyers.
“After the recent marathon of betting accreditation, we sought the most updated professionals and the most relevant players. Thinking about boosting your career, we then prepared the course "Gambling Law: online betting market and legal regulation in Brazil", highlights Future Law in the course presentation.
In a dynamic and practical way, the course will address the background of online betting, looking at the gamification of betting, then move on to the existing regulation today, the process of obtaining authorization, the established payment rules, practices for preventing fraud and money laundering.
The program also includes issues such as responsible gaming practices, advertising in the sector, sports integrity, compliance, tax and fiscal aspects, the legal structuring of betting platforms, and the economic and legal trends after regulation.
The main challenges of bets will appear in the presentation of the Ocean group, which operates four betting houses in Brazil, as well as the point of view of the regulator and specialized consultancies. In the six meetings of the course, risks, market projections, and global challenges will be discussed.
The online and live course will take place on November 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, and 18, from 7 to 10 PM. For more information, click here.
