O Games Magazine Brasil spoke with Alexander Korsager, head of gaming operations at Casino.org, a portal that has become a reference in the analysis of online casinos for Brazilian players. "We are fully committed to the bettor and want people to find legalized casinos with differentials for those from Brazil," the executive highlighted.

Since its creation in 1995, Casino.org has modernized to provide analysis of more than 80 online casinos for players from different countries. There are over 100 countries where the site is located, and one of them is Brazil.

The Casino.org team includes a casino ranking, analysis of gaming sites by category, payment methods, free games, and much more. There are a total of 10 experts who assist in the creation and optimization of content for Brazilian players.

Alexander Korsager spoke with the Games Magazine Brasil team and highlighted how Casino.org has transformed into one of the reference sites in the segment of casino analysis for Brazilian players.

Games Magazine Brasil - Thank you for receiving the Games Magazine Brasil team, Alexander. Tell us, how was the beginning of Casino.org?
Alexander Korsager -

The initial idea of Casino.org was to serve as a source of information for players from different countries. We noticed that casinos were becoming a trend and we wanted to be part of that development.

Initially, we asked ourselves what is the most spoken language in the world and concluded that English was the initial step we should take. Subsequently, we focused on Spanish to start creating content for players who speak this language.

It was only after establishing our presence in these two languages that we started working in Brazilian Portuguese and other languages. Currently, Casino.org is a site that has native-level content for more than 100 nations, including Brazil.

The Brazilian market for casino games and betting is officially regulated. How is Casino.org dealing with all this change in Brazilian law?
First, I want to say that we are very happy that Brazil has advanced in the regulation and legalization of betting houses and online casinos. It's great to see all the new rules to regulate a segment that lived in the dark. There was definitely a lack of direction for companies to operate in this sector.

Our team of experts in casino analysis and the entire Brazilian iGaming market includes native Brazilians. Fortunately, our professionals are dedicated not only to creating content but also to constantly updating the information so that players can be informed about everything that happens in the online gaming market.

The main change we adopted within Casino.org was to completely remove any illegal site. Currently, the player who accesses our site will find only legalized platforms in Brazil.

Another important change was the implementation of a greater focus on responsible gaming. We know the importance of this topic and I want to take this opportunity to make it clear that we fully support the good practices presented by the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR).

There are more than 100 casinos on the list of sites allowed in Brazil. How can Casino.org help Brazilians in choosing the ideal casino?
Our goal is to help Brazilians. To achieve it, we rely on an approach based on rigorous reviews and very well-defined criteria. In addition, we consider all possible scenarios to conclude which is the best site for the Brazilian to register.

Problems with support, errors at the time of deposit, availability of games, and many other issues are analyzed. During our checks, we also adopt a systematic analysis of the games.

We like to put ourselves in the player's shoes. This makes us create our test registration at the casino and then test a range of games. This is how we come to the Casino.org list of the top slots in Brazil and many other games that casinos offer.

We know that many of our competitors form partnerships and promote partner sites, even if they are not the best. We at Casino.org are not like that. We adopt total transparency with our audience so that they know they can trust our reviews, as they are based on the same criteria for all casinos, and not on favors for those who pay more.

There is a very big concern with the indebtedness of Brazilians in bets. How do you see the level of indebtedness with the legalization of bets and casinos?
We at Casino.org are aware of the studies related to the indebtedness of families with online gambling. We had access to Special Study No. 119/2024 of the Central Bank and were surprised by the data we saw related to Bolsa Família. After all, they were not in accordance with our analyses of the profile of the Brazilian player.

It was only when the Central Bank issued a technical note making it clear that identification could be subject to errors that we noticed that the data were not as alarming as they were reported. That's when we realized that we are closely monitoring the indebtedness of the Brazilian player with casinos and bets.

Particularly, one of the studies I liked the most, of all related to this theme, was the Characterization and economic repercussions of the fixed quota betting market in Brazil, by LCA in partnership with the IBJR.

In this research, they published that consuming bets and playing casino games with real money is still a novelty among Brazilians. I was happy to learn also that the indebtedness of the Brazilian player with bets and casinos is below 1%, according to the study's estimates.

It was also satisfying to see that more than 70% of Brazilians do not consider bets and games as an investment. It's very cool to see that the Brazilian is becoming aware that this is not a type of entertainment to invest in, but rather to have fun with awareness and without debts.

I believe this is the path that should be followed and we at Casino.org follow the same mindset, always educating our players about the risks associated with each game they choose to play.

Many Brazilians are just starting in the world of casinos. What would you recommend to someone who has just started and wants to have fun in a reliable casino?
My recommendation is that Brazilians always read our reviews at Casino.org and adopt the 15 principles for responsible gaming and player protection of the IBJR. If the site offers, activate features to limit the time of use and the expenses that the player has in a casino.

Another recommendation I have is that the Brazilian stay informed about the latest news in the casino market. As everything is changing, many novelties may come ahead.

We at Casino.org are fully committed to Brazilians and want them to feel completely welcome to contact us whenever they need. Our team is always available to answer questions and help them choose the best site to have fun.
