Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) announced the launch of live sports betting and gamified features for Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games on its streaming app, Monumental+ (M+).
This initiative, realized through collaborations with Play Anywhere and BetMGM, marks the first local sports streaming experience outside Las Vegas that integrates live betting odds and interactive game elements.
The newly launched "Monumental Game Center" offers an interactive experience for viewers, allowing them to choose from live betting odds, in-game player stats, real-time analytics, and gamified options such as trivia and prediction polls.
Fans watching games on the M+ app will see prompts displaying BetMGM live odds and can choose to participate in in-app gaming features. Users who opt to place bets will be redirected to the BetMGM platform.
Monumental+ users will also gain an enhanced streaming experience, including multi-view capabilities, alternative camera angles, and concurrent game streaming options.
Both direct-to-consumer subscribers and those accessing M+ through TV providers can use the new features.
Note: The betting feature is restricted to viewers aged 21 and over and is verified through BetMGM's agreement.
