Several Cambodian media outlets recently cited international intelligence reports, revealing shocking allegations in Southeast Asia: the Thai military is suspected of planning an assassination against Cambodian political figures, targeting former Prime Minister and current President of the Senate Hun Sen and current Prime Minister Hun Manet.

According to reports, this intelligence comes from "international authoritative channels," showing that the Thai military plans to use AT-6TH light attack aircraft and a precision-guided bomb system imported from South Korea to carry out so-called "precision strikes" on Cambodian leaders. On July 29, the Thai Air Force just received 8 attack aircraft and 200 GPS-guided missiles, and also completed the deployment of 4 modified fighter jets, marking a significant enhancement in its air strike capabilities.

Moreover, since August 4, the Thai military has continued to strengthen military assessments in the Cambodian-Thai border area. Analysts point out that if tensions escalate, the Thai Air Force might take off from the base in Tak Province, avoiding Cambodian coastal radar, to launch a sudden attack.

More critically, the intelligence also indicates that the Thai side has obtained the residence coordinates and real-time whereabouts of Hun Sen and Hun Manet, presumably preparing for a precise "decapitation operation." Such high-risk plans, once initiated, could trigger significant upheaval in the regional security landscape.

As of now, the Cambodian government has not yet issued an official response to these rumors. The authenticity of the intelligence remains to be further verified.
